Today I returned to Lower Manhattan, to see Little Italy and Chinatown, and I really do not disappoint. It's funny to walk down the street and pass People see the typical NY, to meet on a street where everything is written in Mandarin and 90% of people are Asian. The street is lined with shops where you can find anything and almost everything wrong, from handbags to perfumes and jewelry (I know someone who would go crazy so good).
If you follow a little later in Little Italy will enter another area full of color, red and green predominate clearly, and is full of restaurants, bars and shops with typical products, you can eat a pizza or buy a huge salami any shops, tourists also abound, so the streets are very full. Continuing along
Broadway, I came to Soho, where there are industrial style houses and shops, until I stopped to see stores. You have all kinds of clothes and shoes, worth visiting quietly, yes, I know prices.
If you keep going, you get to Greenwich Village, a place that will never want to leave NY. Looks like you're in another city, low houses, a tranquility and lots of trees. It is worth taking your time and go very quiet area, shops, bars, houses and streets that fall in love. It's the hippest neighborhood in the city and it shows, if I can go on Saturday to take a brunch (thanks for the recommendation Ruth), and I will tell such ... ;-)
On the evening I went to Times Square and the truth is that impressive, I used to climb before dusk to Top of the Rock, Rockefeller Center, and the views are breathtaking, Brooklyn, Empire State lit is a marvel. The elevator takes 45 seconds to climb 70 floors and the roof of it is transparent, amazing ...
As always, more photos on Flickr.
