Manfrotto Landscape Head

Day 1 (Ah, but what Manhattan is ground?)

DSCN8481, originally uploaded by Paul Moran .

Today I started to kick the city, and walking I've done most of the Lower Manhattan, I have not gone yet China Town or Little Italy. And the first impression is that this city will exceed all is enormous, and yet you can see how the city has evolved from the Dutch colony that was.

I did the tour guide suggested in National Geographic, but adding some things that I think it should be. I started at the tip of Manhattan, Battery Park and from there I went up to City Hall. Through Ground Zero (I put a photo on Flickr where you should not see what there is, but what is not), the NY Stock Exchange, Federal Hall, Federal Reserve, the Woolworth building, etc ... I started around 10, stopping to eat and take a couple of cold coffee, I came to 6 in the evening, about 6 / 7 hours walking to and he gets to be the first day ... ;-)

After a brief stop at the hotel, to download the photos (the first day I've done 80), a break and walk a little to Times Square and dinner at Virgil's Real Barbecue (recommended in Lonely Planet) where you eat really well and for little money, my dinner over a beer, coca and coffee ... $ 21, gratuity included, recommend that if two people go, the portions are quite large and left almost rolling.

's eleven now, I'll see something in the ordenata and go to sleep, tomorrow I expect another very interesting walk, I leave the address Filckr, where I have uploaded more photos of the first day ...

See you tomorrow ...
