JLA / JLE: I've seen things you people would not believe ... Microfiche

I've seen use the name of the mightiest heroes of Earth to promote a Casino-Resort, have been a hero to leave his wife to go beyond promoting detergents Orion I been the bearer of one of the most powerful weapons in the universe trying to impress his date taking her to a porn movie ... I have seen the League of Giffen and DeMatteis, comics where the expression "humanized the figure of the superhero" acquires a new dimension.

The JLA through
times
editorially speaking of the Justice League of America (JLA) had arisen from a simple and effective concept: take the characters that are most sold to DC and combining them into a single collection. The formula is so effective that it still works today (look on the New Avengers of Bendis for example) but also is potentially dangerous, the adventures of characters who are selling up to four collections to market forces you to focus on action and not much further to develop their personalities as they change the essence of one of them requires coordination with the other character's heads. Thus, over time, the JLA had opened its doors to second-tier heroes to complement the already established. For various reasons not relevant here, the explanation would only extend this post, in the late 80's League had been reduced to a group of second to which DC was dispueta to shelve soon. As a prelude to the crossover of that year, Legends, the League was decimated by a supervillain, the ideal time to make a fresh start with a new lineup. What few people imagined when the first issue of the League Justice was released is that of "All-New " was radically seriously.

This is not the Justice League I read your father

Although the new Justice League was not lacking in power, their ranks included Batman, the Martian Manhunter, Captain Marvel, most powerful mortal on Earth, or Dr. Fate, the most powerful magician in the DC Universe, the formation of the new league had seemed somewhat weak for fans of superhero action. For the aforementioned joined Black Canary, who despite his sonic powers kept vigiliante fit the profile of urban in the sense that it most innocent of the term, Mr. Miracle, a figure emerged from Kirby's Fourth World, which was nothing more than a circus escape artist, skilled in technology, the new Doctor Light (created during the Crisis on Infinite Earths and yet much to prove its potential as a character) and Blue Beetle, who does not stand out precisely because of their level of power. There was also a Green Lantern, it's true, but it was a Green Lantern Guy Gardner second row for years had been in the shadow of the other human members of the body (Hal Jordan and John Stewart) or even many aliens who had taken the Green Lantern's name (as Kilowog or Take-re),

That did not seem the best league, it is true, but since the first issue, with the delirious opening sequence with the choice of leader, it soon became clear that this league is not only not look like any other incarnation of the group but had personality Library own. In the League of Giffen and DeMatteis had action, it is true, there were threats, supervillains, and even a secret conspiracy, as in other comics, but something about the way the characters behave, there was something in the dialogues that made the League Justice comic book special, something unique that would become the series in a legend among fans of the UDC.

BWAHAHAHA!

As the months went by the comic tone of Giffen and DeMatteis took hold of a few characters instead of a computer is a real dysfunctional family. The consecration of the new style would come at number eight in the collection for an episode in which the League was facing the biggest challenge of its short history, moving to its new headquarters in New York. An episode closest to a chapter of Senfield than the classic JLA, which shows that transport spacecraft or install a security system is as dangerous or more to confront the villain of the moment.

Moving Day , Title of the episode in question, is the best example of what he has done great in the League of Giffen and DeMatteis, because although the group was faced with great villains and saved the world in more than one occasion, fans at the end when we sit and remember the series, we talk about is J'onn J'onzz's addiction to Oreo cookies, the day that Beetle was so fat that he had no costume, or that time when "the other JLA ", assured that you will understand when you read it, he faced a horde of murderers in the middle of Antarctic penguins.

The franchise expands

With the excuse that in the last megacrossover of DC Invasion , had shown that the League needed to expand its potential DC editors decided to use the pull of the series to squeeze even more making it a franchise with the creation of the Justice League Europe. Training that was born with a promising lineup consists of Red Rocket, who had won the esteem of the public in the previous series, Flash, Elongated Man, Captain Atom, Power Girl, Animal Man, Wonder Woman and Metamorpho. However, in practice, Wonder Woman soon appear on the series, perhaps because in his collection already were spending too much and then controlled more publishers the cohesion of the UDC, leaving the band as he could, and the participation of Animal Man, we can qualify as moderate, was dwindling that the tone that Grant Morrison was printed in their series did not fit the character very well with the League.

Although the Justice League of Europe is truly memorable comic moments, as the French evening class where you just lecturing the Injustice League or the arrival of the greatest superhero Beefeater English, the fact is that European industry is, in my opinion, less funny than the series shows mother and adventurer classic tone, which is not necessarily bad since prevents the series from becoming a bad clone of the mother's collection and has his own personality.

Life after the cancellation ....

Although the League was not officially canceled, at least American, when Giffen & DeMattia left the tone of the series changed dramatically. Recently the authors, accompanied by Kevin Maguire (the artist best remembered for the series) have taken up the tone and much of the characters to do two stories, one titled "Formerly known as Justice League, which has been published in a single volume by Norma Editorial, and "I can not believe they are not the League of Justice" included a story that within the library JLA: Classified, Artisit teams rotating series featuring stories set in any stage of the legendary group. For editorial reasons that would reveal a few spoilers about what is happening in the USA, hope that Giffen & DeMattia readdress the characters seem more distant than ever, but the authors have taken their original concept of what should be a group of Marvel superheroes taking over the new collection of Advocates, Silver Surfer and should be preparing the jokes .....

Ringworm And Cheerleading

: Flash

Name:

Flash Real Name: Wally West

Height: 1.83

Weight: 76 Kgs

Eyes: Green

Hair: Redhead

Main Group Affiliation: JLA

main branches: Run light speed, it can vibrate through solid objects making them explode.

Base of Operations: Keystone City

10 things you should know about him:

1 .- There are two characters in the UDC is called a Flash is Wally West and Jay Garrick is the other member Justice Society of America (JSA) and inspiration all the heroes who have used the name Flash, is distinguished, in addition to age, because Garrick used a red suit and blue without a mask and a helmet similar to that of Hermes (or a bowl with wings).

2 .- There was a third (the second in chronological order) Flash, Barry Allen, Wally's uncle and who gave his life to save the universe in Crisis on Infinite Earths . When Barry was operating as Flash, Wally accompanies him on his adventures under the name of Kid Flash.

3 .- He got his powers because lightning that struck his uncle lab poured a combination of chemicals.

Flash 4.-The two are not the only sprinters operating in the UDC but that better connect with the 'Speed Force', an energy flow from which all derive their powers.

5 .- One of the last sprinters emerged in the UDC is Impulse, a descendant of Barry Allen come from the Century 30 (XXX-century because that is rare, but would increase the visits of course). 6 .- Wally

is the Flash who has best mastered the Speed Force, but some say it is the Speed Force which has chosen him (which opens interesting questions), is even capable of " provide "speed to people and objects in motion. 7 .- Forcing

Flash powers can make your speed facilitate travel between dimensions (as seen in the JLA / Avengers) and even over time.

8 .- His years as Kid Flash make it, despite still being young, in one of the most experienced heroes of the Justice League.

9 .- Although it has always been said that the DC Universe is based on the trinity Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the fact is that Flash is one of the most important pillars of the UDC as evidenced by the fact that Jay Garrick was one of the founders of the original JSA, Barry Allen helped found the JLA, while Wally West (with Kid Flash identity) to set up the Titans (the group of excellent young heroes of the DCU). 10.-Flash

has one of the biggest galleries of villains (rogue gallery) of the DC Universe, for his charisma that rivals that of Batman with the fans.

Birthday Greetings In Arabic And Wife

100 Bullets: You woke up this morning, got yourself a gun ...

Imagine that life has to give back. It is not that hard, every minute it happens to someone, as you read this someone just throw your life away, do not be surprised, there are hundreds of ways to do this, take a bad decision, you just go with the nerves , who does not trust you or are simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, no matter, just have a bad week for all what you call life becomes history.

Imagine living your life without any hope, imagine that you have established in a nasty neighborhood, imagine that you are tied to a job you hate but that is all you need. Not as bad as you think, you get used to everything, even to live without hope, to seek solace in bars, and accept that every day from now on will be equal.

Now imagine that one day you come across an old, elegant type, someone who in no way fits into the neighborhood. You do not know of anything but him and he will pay attention to returns, sits down with you and tells you what you've always wanted to hear that the blame for what is happening to you is not yours. Possibly not the first time you hear it, is likely that what you have told the nuns at the hospice, or social worker, or perhaps some drunken companion at a time when the tender was, in fact easiest thing is that I have heard many times that phrase does not mean nothing for you. But this time is different, this type calls you by your name (when do you tell?), This guy seems very sure of himself and carries a briefcase, a briefcase that he says belongs to you, a briefcase containing irrefutable evidence that what he says is true, you did not have guilt, had another, someone with the name and mailing address, someone with a face, someone who gives a great life while you rot in stream, imagine, just for a moment, suddenly all your pain is felt but not that to you I would have liked.

Printing discover everything you remain in a state of shock, it is normal, is human, but sooner or later would fix your attention on the gun's in the bag, a big gun, heavy (or at least it seems to you ), accompanied by a hundred bullets, the old man tells you they are yours, they are clean, they are inscrutable, any cop who finds the bullets stop immediately its investigation, you have carte blanche to do whatever you want, no consequences at least for you. Imagine, just for a moment, you suddenly wake up one morning and your pain has a source and you have a gun to remove that source as if it were a tumor. Can you imagine? Yes? Then you know how the characters feel 100 Bullets.

The comic thriller made

The scene you just read is repeated regularly in 100 Bullets , Agent Graves, the elder who talked in the introduction, comes to a city and crosses the life of a person, usually a loser, whose life has changed radically, and not necessarily for the better, when the mysterious old man leaves the city. This pemit original starting point to enjoy a variety series gender-atypical plot black. Yes, there are small-time gangsters, hard men and women willing to go forward against all odds, and a common premise, Graves and his briefcase, but everyone is different, each has its problems and their particular vision of what to be the vengeance and justice. This variety makes 100 Bullets in a series of black genre that appeals to those who normally do not feel excited by these stories.

Surely by now think that I'm trying to sell the bike because just because you list the virtues of the series the whole story falls through a simple question, where does the old man these "Magic bullets"? And why would anyone want to go giving strangers the opportunity for revenge?

A puzzle within a puzzle

In 100 Bullets do not talk much about the characters who know the answers to these questions would not comment on them, some because they are so logical and normal to not feel the need to mention it out loud, others because they are simply afraid of what hides the answer. The truth is that once there was a character who made these same questions, and came close to the mystery surrounding the Graves agent, but one day made the suitcase, he left the United States and now lives half a world away alone and sputtering strange theories about the official history of the country where he was born.

The series created by Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso is one of those strong flavors that did not initially go well in the body but as you play with them you are catching, but still is not made for all tastes. The pace of the series is all too often extremely slow and requires the reader to be parked around the mystery doubts that looks from afar to enjoy the carousel of characters and situations that passes through the series, having to do, Sometimes, true acts of faith to trust that those arcs in which seemingly nothing happens will have a special relevance later.

reader 100 Bullets not begin to understand the motivations of Graves to the second story arc of the series, but each track is in its path leads to more questions, and the puzzle pieces are not only precisely ordered but sometimes are conveniently hidden, and that is one of the great things that have made this series, discovering that much of the characters are connected by a complex pattern or some of the protagonists of the arches found weaker numbers come back later to play an important role in the plot make reading 100 Bullets an original experience.

Delving into the world of 100 Bullets is to discover a world of ambition, betrayal and conspiracies that reach the highest levels, a world identical to ours so that you can not approach the darkness that hides under his coat without feeling, but for a moment, the question about why it is not happening under our very noses.

on the English edition

100 Bullets has been edited by Norma Editorial prestige format first (which grouped two or three numbers per volume USA) and later volumes. The Standard edition has reached USA number 50 spot from which to resume its Metro edition, it is not advisable to approach it if you're not willing to take adventure to make you a good number of back issues. Anyway, Metro has already announced its intention to re-edit the library from the beginning at two episodes per issue USA English.

Plot:

The arrival of a mysterious cyber no only going to bring heavy casualties in the ranks of the Titans, but evidence internal differences that currently exist in the ranks of the Titans and Young Justice. The two youth groups UDC excellence are about to change forever ...

Review:

The problem of the DC series is that there are many that have already been started by Standard and not take too long or up or their characters are so unknown that it is practically unfeasible that can be edited from the beginning (unless you want an even longer distance with the USA), so you decide from that starting point becomes a very vital issue, because it's not just a matter of finding an arc to start appeal agumental the collection but also that they prevent this arc makes many references to past events.

That is precisely the main problem Graduation Day, a comic that is actually a final but Spain should exercise as a prelude of what is to come. Thus the reader is in danger of having the feeling that comes with the movie started and while not necessary to know much of the UDC to understand what is happening it is true that the novice reader not just connected with the characters a handicap important since the strength of this story is precisely the importance of the low and the reactions of characters they have always been friends and now are rethinking their alliances and convictions after spending one of the worst days of their lives.

As regards the analysis of history the truth is that it presents an argument rather flat, almost worthy of a comic book of 90 with a lethal threat that puts a halt to the heroes of the story without much more explanation but is promising more information on this subject in the upcoming collections of the Titans and Outsiders, and personally I found most interesting the chapters after the battle, which finally sees development of the characters and glimpses of what will be new groups, the bulk of the story.

Anyway, precisely by virtue of his preface, the volume is must-buy for those who want to follow the new Outsiders clip collections and / or Titans, and less for those who simply want to understand the future Infinite Crisis as their primary connection is the story of Donna Troy, and this, so soon, does not justify the nearly nine euros it costs to book.

Enjoy: A Titans fans in general (though more for the time spent without seeing these characters than the quality of the story) and Donna Troy in particular, to those who enjoy the Action Comics, who continue to think the Titans or Outsiders.

not like: For those who prefer more thoughtful comics.

Note on microfiche

Microfiche are small posts, full of platitudes and I warn you, in which reviews some of the main characters of the UDC. Its function is to provide a basic outline for readers who are about to close for the first time the character. Therefore

microfiche will be confined to those data for a significant time have defined the character with what can sometimes come in small inconsistencies with the latest events that surround him. I'll give an example marveliano to be understood, if the leaves Thing Fantastic Four we all know that sooner or later return, or if a child just died in the United States or in the English edition, has many opportunities to return soon, so those changes would that necessarily enter into our microfiche, and that what it is that the reader can find the post at any time, knowing the basic coordinates of the character (which have made him famous and he has been defined as an icon) and thus better assess the changes it has undergone recently (I do not explain).

In any case, I want more information can be passed through the links section and visit Secret Files & Origins in English that gives information much more complete character.

PD: the physical data of the characters are drawn from A. Dougall, L. GILBERT (ed.): DC Comics Encyclopedia . Barcelona, Selecta Vision. 2005.

Online Russian Handwritting

Animal Man: ecology, values relatives and make them oh yeah! The meaning of life ....

Animal Man When he first came to the English kiosks virtually no one knew who Grant Morrison, few knew the character (not in vain Animal Man was part of a group of superheroes called " The Unsung Heroes ") and the only thing that really sounded the covers were signed by Brian Bolland, who had become a star among the fandom homeland after the publication of The Killing Joke (one of the Batman graphic novels devoted most acclaimed of all time). When the series came to an end, two years later, Animal Man had become a cult series and Grant Morrison, Morrison very different from what we now know that yes, in one of the names that all fans of the Ninth Art pointed as the new value to continue.

Who was Animal Man?

Before he arrived Morrison Animal Man was Buddy Baker, a shy young man (for those who faint in front of the girl they like) lover of hunting one day is an alien spacecraft that exploded in his face, the accident, as often happens in comics, given superpowers, is now able to capture the abilities of any animals that were near (not a negligible to think of that you could have the strength of a gorilla, the reflexes of a fly, or speed of a deer). With his new powers, and the usual matching suit, Buddy becomes a superhero, avoiding a pair of alien invasions, thwart villains (too many times thanks to some ferocious animal that manages to escape from a circus or a zoo and accidentally passes close to the action may purchase their powers) and marries the girl. As you can imagine Animal Man was not exactly the favorite hero of the readers of DC and the character was gradually falling into oblivion.

When Grant Morrison had hair

After the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths , many heroes were redefining from top to bottom allowing them to have a second chance, another theory (also true) argues that Second-row characters must bring them out every so often to avoid losing the rights to the name. In these circumstances the life of Buddy Baker falls into the hands of a young Scottish writer Grant Morrison who called in a seemingly strange decision, let the opportunity pass completely redo Animal Man and chooses to comply with virtually all of the character's origin. Buddy is still married, in fact now have two children, and apparently the most significant change is that it was a little younger when it became superhero to try to get pasta with a friend, but the key word in the Animal Man Morrison is "apparently".

The Village superhero

The Morrison's Animal Man begins as a comic between ecology and social melodrama. The first numbers have action, it is true, but are full of allegations against animal abuse in the problems of being superhero and have a family and talks between Buddy and his manager, recalled that he got into this to see if pasta pulled on itself should not settle down and stop playing superheroes.

The arrival of the inevitable crossovers with the MACROEVENTS of that year in DC ( Invasion ) not only confirms the intimate court of the series. While heroes battle open field with alien coalition that has swept Australia, Morrison used his crossover to tell the story of an invader that specializes in artistic explosion has a strained relationship with his father, a retired supervillain faces depression knowing that has always been a second row. Even when editors at DC decided to enter the Animal Man Justice League Europe focused his adventures to Morrison as it affects the family. The only episode that seems out of tune is a delightful tale, seemingly out of continuity, in which Morrison reinterprets stories and Wile E. Coyote.

is not surprising since in the post of Animal Man were to be noted that Buddy was like the neighbor next door but with leather jacket and super powers, and that Morrison received the odd compliment to humanize the figure of the superhero. How wrong we were all .....

Came Polly

The Invasion sequelae in many heroes, the explosion of a bomb designed to affect the planet's super-powers did that were affected and Buddy is not working well, seemed just the worst time to start his superhero storyline apparently.

The first change came with the appearance of a former member of the JLA (Vixen) who came to Buddy for help against a threat that is spreading through Africa. As we said before this is the most classic saga of the collection, there is a supervillain, there are two heroes who fight and dodging traps, there is a strange mystical object and there are aliens, just the same as appeared during the origin of Animal Man, two characters whose presence would begin to poison the series gradually turning into something very different.

"I can see"

Since that encounter with the aliens in Africa Buddy is about to begin a search to find out where his powers come true, but knowledge is sometimes painful and always bitter and this time especially.

And is that from this point Morrison Animal Man used to dissect the figure of the superhero beyond what anyone ever imagined. The Scottish writer begins to weave a web of time travel, conspiracies and cosmic revelations not only prove that everything was perfectly measured from the beginning but to answer questions that fans do not usually formulated as what happens to the heroes and villains we see in action? At what point do a hero when he is desperate? What if God was not better than you?

What seemed to be over a number of manners in its reissue compilations, included within the Vertigo label (adult line of the DC Universe) perhaps the most appropriate line for the surprising number end of the saga of Morrison.

The Morrison Animal Man, who would surprise showing they knew classic storytelling with the JLA superheroes, is one of those collections that you enjoy with each rereading, but nothing beats the feeling of going for the first time the road full of surprises in the series.

The Animal Man Post

Morrison DC, predictably, tried to keep squeezing the idea after the departure of Morrison with new creative teams who have forgotten the most superhero aspect of the character and tried to continue with the line "metaphysical" , to call in some way, the end of the previous stage. It redefined a little more of his origin, he was given a new daughter connected to life on the planet, and even become involved in a new religion (The Church's Power of Life), but the character was never achieve the popularity rates achieved with Morrison, so it was gradually being forgotten. It now seems doomed to appear as a guest on major events of the UDC, and to provide limited muscle in his most superheroes.

edition in Spain

The Morrison's Animal Man was edited by Zinco in 26 issues of 24 pages (which there is also a small episode published in Secret Origins and serves as a prologue to the change of tone the series to be published in the collection DC Universe.)

Recently the series has been reissued in volume, Standard Publishing has been involved in the first three volumes of the series (see link ), so it is already nearly half, while Metro has announced the immediate, all immediate Metro may be the post- paninilipsis in these things, then the series (which if all goes well will end in December this year with a price closer to 8.95 the volume).

Plot:

Ra's Al Ghul seems to have found the final plan to decimate human population, interfere with their brains to destroy the ability to understand spoken language and written driving it well in the chaos, the only thing that gets in your way are members of the Justice League but Ra's seems to have inside information to take away from permanently in the middle ....

Review:

of Waid's JLA tries to follow with the epic tone that characterized the period of his predecessor Grant Morrison even risking the characters develop more, work in which hardly got a Morrison aware that working with the great icons of the UDC, the result is a JLA if may well be regarded as correct pales in comparison with earlier stages.

Tower of Babel, the rainbow that is reflected in the volume under analysis, has a Ra's Al Ghul flatter than seen earlier issues, reduced to a condition in which its role is limited to a series of acts tyrannical megalomaniacs, so it is not the best number to approach the character. The plot, which as we said earlier attempts to emulate Morrison's epic tone and only manages to stay in grand, is an excuse to analyze the relationships between members of the League which, paradoxically. it does allow the reader to use it as a more acceptable approach to the JLA since, although not really much talk about the origin of the characters, the issue offers a good look at the powers and weaknesses of the most famous superhero of the UDC group can serve as a good first contact with the characters.

Las principales bazas de este tomo respecto a la edición en prestigios de Norma ( al margen de la mejora en la edición) son la inclusión de un pequeño epilogue which looks very passing, the impact of the saga is in the wards of Batman and a chapter, while not essential if it brings more depth to the story, which tells how it was Ra's with information from the League and how it was collected by the author. The other extras take affect not only the series but neither are particularly recommended as a purchase.

Enjoy: To those who have not yet seen the JLA in action, fans completists, who were already somewhat saturated tone "serious" collectible previous releases.

not like: For those who do not read anything from the League JLA Justice of Giffen & DeMatteis, who enjoy the moral ambiguity of Ra's Al Ghul.

Review:

About the Series:

Although what I say may sound like heresy, the truth is that Kirby has always seemed better creator and where best writer defends this argument is on the characters the Fourth World, a concept that groups a number of very different collections whose only common thread is the presence of the worlds of New Genesis and Apokolips, representing a futuristic version of the clash between Athens (here represented by the paradise of New Genesis) and Sparta (played in the war Apokolips).

Some of the stories of the Fourth World have not aged as well as it could be expected (the protagonists of the series Forever People talk as if they were your typical soap opera abuelete of trying to become the "rolled" with young people ), but the fact is undeniable is that the strength of characters created by Kirby, characters from the first moment that became authentic references of the DC Universe and he resisted the change fostered by continuity Crisis on Infinite Earths almost unchanged. So when a writer wants to make clear that the looming crisis is important usually announce the presence of Metron (I think that issue of the POA is the first that puts accent but I could be wrong), a scheming scientist whose alliances have never been the entirely clear, and when one wants to resort to a cosmic threat Darkseid's presence is required.

The collection of these adventures in the new library Classics DC are therefore very interesting, not so much quality that they can have their stories but to see first hand the creative talent of a Kirby who had virtual control total project, and to understand the fascinating complexity of beings who are, deservedly one of the pillars on which rests the DC Universe. About

Issue

Although the first compilation of The Fourth World is published by Planeta focused on the figure of Orion the volume serves as a particular ' who's who' of the world of Kirby both in the war between New Genesis and Apokolips as factions more or less neutral, as Metron or The Black Corridor (which was the official messenger of death in DC until Gaiman redefine the concept of death in Sandman) , and even showed Intergang a major criminal organization in the stories of Superman, which already makes it a highly recommended purchase.

Although much of the action takes place on Earth volume, according to Orion and a group of humans who will not fit at all with the dynamics of history, the truth is that at all times is perceived cosmic tone that made these characters great, what a plus for the work. As against all I can say is that the avalanche of names and concepts, and, above all, complex scenes and machines that Kirby draws his characters (not complex for the clarity of his line but by the number of items the form) You can take back to the neophyte reader accustomed to the slow pace of the actual comic. However marvelitas readers will find some common elements between the designs for Křiby The Fourth World and he used for the creation of Galactus (and I mean not only the character but also to his ship and equipment, largely developed in this Fourth World ) so it should not catch anyone by surprise.

The number also includes the short story The Pact focusing on youth and Darkseid Izaya and tells one of the crucial moments of the war between these worlds, a moment that every fan of DC that claims to be has heard of but that few have read.

On the issue:

Apart from the controversy around the format change with respect to the traditional Marvel Library and the huge white margins seen in the work, and those who have already discussed at length in forums and blogs, to echo what most miss in the new edition of the comic is the color, as far from fanaticism purists, the fact is that much of the strength of the visual frenzy that shape collections The Fourth World is the striking use of color on the Kirby decided in these collections, and if they know not that you can see a small sample in this ironic article Adload (click here to access the article.)

Another thing to note is that Metro has decided to opt for a history timeline editing ( The Fourth World was a concept that began to be sensed in the series of Jimmy Olsen and was gradually developed ), which a priori appears to be a good choice based on market principles and the spectacular compression Kirby cosmology but leaves us with the question of whether they comply with all the episodes that make up the mosaic that is the Fourth World.

Enjoy: A Kirby fans, lovers of classic comic, which they miss the cosmic adventures of Thor.

not like: For those who prefer a more narrative pace to Bendis, who prefer to see, and understand, a stage at first glance, those who do not enjoy battles with monsters.

UDC: Legacy, a good idea that became a nightmare

When someone wants to distinguish the heroes of the Marvel DC often uses two arguments converted almost axioms, unchanging truths, between fans and authors: DC heroes have a treatment that brings them to be virtually Gods on Earth while the humans are Marvel and DC have a tradition of "legacy", which allows several people to inherit the mantle of a particular hero, who is not given, at least as much, in Marvel. Curiously, these two facts differentials arise from the same point: The DC heroes were born before the Second World War and Marvel no.

The first is easy to understand, the concept of what should be a hero has changed over time, there is more to do a bit of old movies to realize, in the 30's what the public wanted were champions of good and it could all be possible without breaking a sweat (and there are a legion of unemployed sociologists that be willing to explain it better than I if you ask them).

The second is more related to the hardships of war, forced to save paper and inks and, especially, with the changing tastes of the public, who leaned more towards the horror comics of the EC, which made superheroes fall into oblivion, and his series was canceled gradually. In the mid-50's DC decided to revamp some of its concepts forgotten providing them with a new approach closer to science fiction, 46 years before he coined the term Ultimate Marvel, DC took a chance to update their heroes by providing them with new sources and personalities.

Thus, where there had been a former football player he had aspirated some strange vapors that gave him super speed suddenly appeared a young police accident scientist who gave almost the same powers, where there was a vigilante with fitted coat a power ring carved by him and whose only weakness was wood was now a member of a cosmic police force whose ring inherited from a dying alien had a flaw that prevented him from running against yellow objects. Little by little all the DC heroes were affected by this renewal on their identities or personalities (As the case of Green Arrow began as a millionaire car-arrows, and other contraptions that resembled Batman and ended up as social activist par excellence of the DC Universe), but still remained a question to be resolved, if these heroes were entirely new and had no relation to their honónimos of the Golden Age, where were the latter?

The principle of the problem

The answer to that question would come in 1961 when Gardner Fox and Carmine Infantino created one of the best superhero stories of all time " The Flash of Two Worlds " an instant classic, with the passage of time would to become a real headache for fans of the DC Universe.

The story started with a flash ready to work in a charity function where his girlfriend worked, to a group of schoolchildren Flash fakir performing a trick, the rope that stands alone, thanks to its ability to vibrate objects, the trick with Flash just climbing the rope and disappearing at the top of the stage, however Barry Allen appeared again at the scene of Central City, but in a town called Keystone, where it resided the Golden Age Flash with who share the adventure.

The Fox and Infantino cartoon laid the foundations of the DC multiverse, two lands, one with the heroes renewed and another with the classics, separated by "vibrational frequency" a barrier from the time passable and crossed again in 1963 with Crisis Earth One and Earth 2 Crisis adventure in which the JLA (League Justice of America) and the JSA (Justice Society of America, a group of heroes emerged in the wake of World War II) had to join forces to catch the villains who had discovered how to cross the interdimensional barrier. The story helped develop Earth-2 continuity in that not only could be recovered to the classic versions of the new heroes but allowed the creators age characters such as Superman and Batman and even go beyond creating the sons and daughters of the heroes of the JSA (Batman included).

Over time the concept of a multiverse was becoming larger, including superheroes land that had been acquired from other publishers, versions of the classics (like Earth 3 where all the superheroes are villains and the only hero who faces them is Lex Luthor), or any concept that the writers are passed through the head (there was even a land where we lived was supposed to comics readers and writers that "tuned" for their dreams with what happened in other land). In the end the thing was growing and growing, the same hero could have multiple versions of himself, and had to come the Crisis on Infinite Earths (see forthcoming article) to bring order to simplify the entire Earth into a single continuity.

The tradition continues

The simplification of the UDC did not bring, however, eradication of the legacy of tradition, in fact one of the most memorable moments of the crisis was the death of Flash (Barry Allen) and Wally West Relay (until then Kid Flash), and so from time to time we find heroes and villains who leave their name and power to new blood that sometimes come to overshadow its predecessors (such as the case of Ted Kord as Blue Beetle, which is the second to carry the mask of blue beetle that once carried the forgotten Daniel Garret). This tradition, however, is limited to second-class heroes, the increasingly lucrative world of Merchandising and licensing films and pressure from the fans has led to DC to join the bandwagon of resurrections and revivals (the JSA and must have retired more times than Maradona) instead of betting on new tenants for their coats.

Godown One Year Lease Sample

We (the one-man writing team UDC 101) argue that the following principles are inalienable truths governing the operation of this our blog at least until they are changed before the awful necessity of providing the contents page:

1 .- From our point of view, a blog is a journal , not a means of information, so that all the contents of the blog is governed by this principle.

1.1-In accordance with the principle number 1 this blog will NOT news , for that and there are many sites that do better than me, although they may comment on current creative or artistic enterprise that is generated around the publisher DC Comics.

2 .- UDC 101 ( DC Universe 101) is a blog theme that attempts to alleviate the ignorance that exists in Spain around the characters and the series of the DC Comics editorial , ignorance due to the peculiar and haphazard distribution of these comics have suffered in Spain . 2.1-

Therefore this blog is aimed at novice comic book reader in this universe virtually , why UDC 101, at least in its early months, revisit UDC characters and concepts easily and sometimes , touching the obvious. If you are skilled in the UDC will appreciate your comments, corrections (I'm not infallible or much less) and of course your visits, but maybe these are not the droids you are looking for.

2.2-In an effort to simplify the UDC to the uninitiated, this blog never bet on the encyclopedic nature of his texts to talk about a character will no longer look at their creative teams as we believe that this can help confusion. We will speak of the character and some notable events in post-crisis continuity. While it is true that we can talk about specific steps such as Wonder Woman of Perez , or Giffen JLI and DeMattia, provided they are writers who help change the focus of the characters.

3 .- The reviews of the comics that appear here will always reflect our, or my (so we're going to cheat) opinion around the comics that I read, so there will be people who will agree and people who do not, in any case reflect the absolute truth about the actual quality of the work discussed (looks like a bullshit but experience has shown that it is better to make that clear before.) The main intention is that these reviews will serve to answer questions surrounding whether he is worth buying or not comics, noting what works and what does not in the work reviewed. 3.1-

Book reviews NEVER reveal spoilers, although it may refer to events in previous blog that the reader need not have read. 3.2 .-

will review each and every one of the numbers on a regular collection. The reviews are limited to analyzing the first issue of a new library to guide the potential customer on the main qualities of the new product, complete arcs (in advance if you have read the original USA, or the release of his latest number if we have acquired English edition), and / or analyzing all the series in full (especially if it is a limited range). The only exception applies when the series will be published in volumes (as the case of Batman collectibles) or when the head bringing together different U.S. series (as can be The Fourth World ), since in reality each Issue features a complete story arc, and in some cases even more.

3.2.1-The above principle may conflict with future collections regular Superman and Batman , which apparently will be published in a volume bringing together the different heads in a style that was done with Spider-man . While these collections could be analyzed issue to issue (as their different arcs are not necessarily close to the time and separate analysis can lead to confusion), the one-person writing team of this blog will make that decision when you know for sure in what form will be published these cartoons. 4.-

While the blog will be regular-person editorial team can not guarantee a daily update of the , although the long-term objective is to achieve this rate of posts. For now the blog will start with three updates a week, although they could be more depending on the time you can spend ....

5.-The team proprietorship of this blog says that if you've come this far in your reading have much merit and I greatly appreciate it ....
